Early Intervention

We are a paediatric therapy service based in Canberra, ACT, offering Speech Pathology to children aged 0-12 years old with a range of developmental delays and disabilities.


We currently offer mobile therapy sessions – so we come to you! Sessions can happen within the home, daycare/preschool and school settings, as well as within the community.

We specialise in the following Speech Pathology areas:

Articulation (speech sounds)

Language (receptive and expressive)

Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)

Feeding and Mealtime Management

Kids Cubby Early Intervention strives to provide a holistic service to young children with delays and/disabilities and their families, incorporating evidence-based therapy approaches with flexible, innovative models of service delivery, while remaining family centred in all aspects of care provided.

What are the Costs for Your Service?

Session Cost: $193.99 per hour + travel costs to and from the session.

Travel costs will differ for each client, as the cost is determined based on the location of sessions. However, we visit certain areas of Canberra on particular days to allow clients to be ‘grouped’ based on geographical location, effectively reducing travel costs.

The hourly rate is in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. This cost stays consistent regardless of payment method.

How Can I Pay for Service?

There are three ways to pay for service:

  1. You have an approved NDIS plan that is either Plan-Managed or Self-Managed. We are unable to provide service to children who are Agency-Managed at this time.
  2. You choose to pay out of pocket for the service – you would be a privately paying client.
  3. You have a Medicare GP plan. This will subsidise 5 Speech Pathology sessions over a 12-month period, however you will need to privately pay the difference. We are a Medicare Registered Provider.
